Balance and Exchange

   In the West, Reiki is often viewed as being similar to laying on of hands and Spiritual healing for which some people are strongly opposed to paying. Others view Reiki as being more of a holistic health practice similar to accupressure or aromatherapy for which compensation is the norm.

    The concept of balance and exchange is central to most schools of Reiki.  Whether treatment is free or not it is essential that we all understand that healing is an active process requiring the participation of the recipient rather than just passivity . The Reiki practitioner is a conduit for the Universal life force.
Most practitioners and teachers do have flexible plans and scholarships and do not make ability to pay a condition of receiving treatment.  There are many sourses of free Reiki treatment and well as many professional Reiki Practitioners and teachers.

     While many people go to practitioners to receive Treatment sessions with Reiki, I   encourage sincerely interested people to receive attunements for Reiki or other Spiritual energy systems themselves. I have found it to be a valuable tool for spiritual empowerment and healing of self and others I am not a promoter of Reiki healing as a primary career. Anyone who is only looking for an income opportunity will do better to, look elsewhere.

    We all Return to the Universe what we receive and receive what we send out. Reiki works only in accord with the universal good.

Reiki Treatment does not use any  tissue manipulation or massage  and does not ever involve sexual contact of any kind under any circumstance. Unethical people have been known to abuse people under  the pretext of  spiritual , holistic and complementary healing.  Such people should be reported to authorities promptly.
