WHAT ARE PSP PRESETS?

Almost all of the tools, features, filters and effects in PSP8 and 9 have the ability to save the settings used  for the  effects you create with them. Most features  also come with one or more presets ( saved settings) and you can also download presets that other people have made  and offer  on websites .  You can either  select a preset you want to use  from the filter
or effect or preset drop down depending on what feature or tool  you areusing. or There is an browse preset button on the effects toobar which can
show you a preview of what effects will look like on your image and you can apply a preset from that browser. When you are tweeking  a filters settings  or  adjusting a brush variance or whatever  when you get an effect you like it is a good idea  to save those settings as a preset  You click on the  floppy disk icon and  give the preset a unique name  then when you want to do the same thing again  you will have the settings  available to use as often as you want.
