Preparing for journey

One of the ways to receive spiritual information and skills is to journey . During journeys you may travel out of body or within your mind or telepathically to other planes and realities.
It is important to have a purpose for your journey. While you may sometimes set out to follow your path of highest good it is essential that you have some specific intentions for your journey rather than merely being a kind of cosmic tourist.
Common Journeys include quests to find your soul purpose, seeking answers to specific questions , finding allies , receiving or assisting with soul retrieval, assisting with transition of the dying and helping with healing people, animals , the land or oceans, attending spiritual trainings, helping to restore harmony and balance etc.

There are many planes of reality and in a sense while we tend to think of Heaven as up and hell as as down and other realities as being alongside or parallel all of the planes exist at different frequencies in the same space So heaven and other realms surround you.
When you have set your intention you relax.  Often journeys involve beginning a climb or decent. The process of traveling, turning, ascending, descending etc. contributes to the mental state which allows you to be receptive to the information.
People often receive gifts of symbolic objects during journeys as well as receiving information etc.. Sometimes one has tasks to do. There are almost always tests and or obstacles during the course of the journey.
You also need to return from your journey.  One may include some kind of routine or ritual   often  if one has descended one will climb out etc. It is not usual to retrace your path.
