Week of April 27

Sisters

Photos of Mara and Ncole taken on Nicoles 19th birthday Mara turned 21 three days later
I wanted to try a sort of black on black or black and silver layout Kept a border on the extracted images so that they would not fade completely into the background



Honey Bee
a basic page from a tutorial by bannerwoman http://www.bannerwoman.com/tutorials/bwbasicpage.htm   though I did change quite a few things
I'd been takingphotos of my Sunflowers daily and happened to catch this bee at work. This looks better at full size .
I'm not sure what happened wiht the size I started out with 12 by 12 but some how ended up with a rectangle  that was more like 12 by 14.

Pomagranites
This is  the second  small  page using this  LO and techniques from from a tutorial  at http://www.jibble.org/computerscrapbooking/
I had done a rather over the top memorial page  before  and decided that I needed to do  a more mellow layout
This was colorized from the blue original. Usually I don't care too much for colorized LO as they are often greyish
The blossoms look rather more orange in this color background than they do in real life.. and I do relaize that I mispelled pomegranite

This couple is about the celebrate their  90th birthdays and 70th wedding aniversery and  a family member asked 
  for volunteers to create some pages with their photographs

This bow is from a script by Caas the ribbon was from a script by Joske I used kalidoscope to make the "Delft" Pattern



Kraig and Daniel
this  LO and techniques from from a tutorial  at http://www.jibble.org/computerscrapbooking/
I don't know why but this particular LO demanded to be made though it is rather  too  intense.
The Photo with Daniel hold Kraig is the one that Daniel used on his My Space profile
Daniel was a good friend of my daughter Mara



 Vision board 2
I simplified my first one, these are a chalenge  because of the number of  required elements 
for this one I used the Fung Shui colors  in the background.

Week of April 13,
Dance begins with Stillness
an example of an analogous  color scheme .Purple blue green though I have very little green here outside of the photos
 Ribbons from a script by Joske. Bows made from a script by Cass though it does not run to completion  on my computer
  the result is close enough to adapt. This was also practice of text on a path

In Memory of my father
I had been making some elements and had a ribbon and buckle and some brads I wanted to use in a layout
After I had almost finished I ended up replacing al those elements

Week of April 6,

Oliver the cat

 Celebrates Earth day by exploring unfamiliar territory
Or perhaps he figured that if he waithed in the cage he would finally get a shot at the Conure parrots

EAT THE BOX
Sometimes I do an old art school drill and make something with  a color  I dislike. Mustard yellow qualifies. 
Any way in that spirit Here is a LO based on something I disliked  that was an example of the opposite of truth in advertising
No amount of art can replicate the smell, wet burnt cardboard exemplifies the flavor.
The background is an out of focus photo of a wall and curtain. 

Mitz the Cat

After the last few very busy layouts I wanted to do something more simple
I made everything  except the bow,  which came from the annexcafe componants group
The frames are made from a photograph of a rose

Spirit map or vision board or aspiration chart
spirit maps and vision boards, prosperity maps, Prayer posters etc. are methods of clarifiying  ones dreams hopes plans and aspirations
This one is based  loosely on principles of fung shui  and used symbols some personal some universal and some culture specific.
I hope to make a more simple one in the future/

Veterans' Day 2007
It would have been Daniels' 22 birthday. Layout made in PSP9  experimenting with unusual color combinations
I had started with an orange background picked up from the flowers  and the frame taken from Mrs Nobles' shirt.
I subdued the background at the end.

Week of April 1st

I finally figured our how to use the macro function on my digital camera and
Found some cooperative butterflies in my front yard. These two layouts were both done in Paintshop Pro9
