Power and totem  Animals

You are not limited to one power animal or totem

    Even if you think that an animal is associated with another person  if you see it in a vision  the message would be for you in some way. In addition to those power animals and totems that show up from time to time to offer information, guidance and support  you may perceive your chakras personified as power animals  and conference with them to resolve inner conflicts.

    Some power animal systems teach that you have at  least one for each direction including above and below  and or for each element including spirit. Often Power animals are considered guides to major events in your life path and totems are the transient guides to passing or upcoming issues (though some systems use the word totem for the major power animals) of course not every animal you see is an important messenger particularly those you see in the actual physical would usually be significant only if the appearance or behavior is in some way unusual or repeat appearances that particularly draw your attention.
    One day, in a neighborhood where Ravens were rare I came out of my house and Three ravens played a game where they were picking up rocks and putting
them on the ground in front of me. as I went on my errands I found a book laying in the street  which began with a paragraph about ravens dropping stones down chimneys then on the way home a raven landed on a post and rotated slowly in a full circle  as I got home and climbed my steps  a raven landed on the top step holding a tail feather which it placed on the porch before flying away.
  Do I think raven is a Power animal for me? Why yes, and I still have the feather too.. Here in the area where I now live Ravens are as common as dirt so most of the time when I see them I do not think it a particular message when they draw attention to themselves with drama then I do .

but the Hawk that landed only once in my backyard and the flood of dragonflies that surrounded me one day  last year may have been messengers or omens or totems for that time only rather than power animals  though Dragon fly has appeared at intervals of significance too.
