Week of June 15
The big 60
I turned 60 and thought that called for some kind of a Layout
Element practice and Solstice card
Practice making a laced image , text on a path and some cherms and textured paper/fabric
More element practice Need to actually do a jeans pocket tutorial but the stiched heart and tassle
are off to a good start. and the jeans texture which I made looks pretty good IMHO
Week of June 8
If Life is a Game the rules matter
I just grabbed a favorite photo graphic and made this with some of the stuff I made for a Summer fun Mini Kit challenge
and of course it advocates some of my beliefs

This is just some "flowers" I'm learning to make in PSP9 and a denim & chochet heart
I bought a flower script but it gliched so I did not use it though it inspired some of these

I did this for a challenge in an online class though this shows only a few things I made for the kit from the provided color swatch

Week of May 18
Another week where I focussed on creating elements
Lavander Fantacy
This was just suposed to be a preview of some lessons in the digital scrapbooking class group
but I got carried away and in addition to the patterned paper and the folded corner I did tape and matts and other stuff and
finished with a "painted" picture of my daughter so it became a kind of accidental layout
Week of May 11
Did not get any layouts done this week
but did work on learning to make a number of elements and made this sampler of some I've done recently.

The Virgo charm and the Year of the Dragon emblem are made from dingbats and blade pro presets
the folded ribbon is from a turorial I wanted to feature Nicoles many hair colors and expressions
Week of May 4th
The Fallen, and Memorial Day
Two almost identical Lay Outs one a generic Memorial and the other specifically for Memorial Day
The photo is from the memorial Service Held in Iraq for HN Daniel Noble and the Three Marines killed in action on July 24 2007
Veterans Day
this is a version in green because the orange and pink color version did not work that well at this size the background here looks
very much more textured and busy than it does at full size

I wanted to try a sort of black on black or black and silver layout Kept a border on the extracted images so that they would not fade completely into the background
the font is night sky I finally realized that font settings can be saved as presets
