Breast plate of Aron
The Urim VeTumim was one of the 8 sacred garments worn by the High Priest in the Temple. It was two gold plates folded over that had a scroll with one of the Holy names written on it inside. Imbedded in the outer side were 12
stones:Ruby, Topaz, Emerald, Turquoise,Sapphire, Diamond,Opal, Agate,Amethyst, Aqua-Marine,Onyx, and Jasper. Each stone corresponded to one ofthe 12 tribes of Israel, each stone had letters engraved to spell out the
words in Hebrew: Abraham, Isaac, Jacob the tribes of Jeshurun plus the names of the 12 tribes: Reuben, Simon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulon, Dan,Naftali, Gad, Asher, Joseph and Benjamin totaling 72hebrew letters. The stones were set in 4 rows of 3 stones in each row. The breast plate wasfastened to the shoulders of the high priest with 2 diamonds also engraved
with the names of the 12 tribes and fastened around his waist with 2 ribbonsOnly the High Priest and the King were allowed to ask questions of the Urim VeTumim and the answer came in the form of the various letters lighting up.
The twelve stones represented the twelve tribes of Israel, while each stone was connected to a tribe according to the stones qualities and the tribes characteristic.
"For square it be, double: a span in length and span in breadth...They shell be fitted in golden settings. The stones shall be according to the names of the children of Israel...every one according to his name, shell they be for the twelve tribes..."

Amethyst - Stability, health and strength; *Diamond - Purity, Stability; Emerald - Sensitivity and loyalty.
