What is a Reiki Blanket?

Some people use a visualization  of Reiki as a blanket wrapped around their client to provide an ongoing source of treatment and comfort.

	In the energy systems I have received from spirit and  organized manuals for,"Blanket" or "expand"  is a   function/ command intention that automatically extends the energy being called  upon  over an area or room or group etc.  I  include the attunement  for that and several other utility functions  in the  non Reiki systems I teach and  It is among the functions that also comes in for those I have attuned to Reiki. 

 I find that many  Reiki people can use  the functions by intention  whether or not they have been formally attuned to do so Though an attunement helps some people connect with the functions more easily  " blanket"  "expand" "project"  and  "group" are a few of the functions I find useful.

	After  a decade  as A Reiki Practitioner and Teacher , as a student and practitioner of many other energy work systems and  lastly as a channel /mundane organizer for some energy work systems.  My experience Has been  That If you can conceive of using energy in some specific way or for any positive purpose then you have the ability to do the work. 

	We use the term Universal Energy  universal means unlimited  you can work with Reiki in any way you  can imagine working with Reiki  knowing that Reiki will only do good and  never do harm.

	Whatever systems  you work with you are tapping into  a vast source ofhealing and wisdom which encompasses  every conceivable function. If you would be more comfortable having an attunement to use a " Blanket " function with Reiki  and other energy work you do  them simply enter a state of relaxation /meditation  and ask / intend that if it is in accord with your highest good and soul purpose  you receive an attunement  for this function .
